FAQs - The Street, Somerset's Ultimate Scare Attraction 

1. When are tickets available?

  • Tickets are available from Saturday 10th November.


2. What dates is the Scream Park running?

  • Friday 21st December

  • Saturday 22nd December


3. How much are tickets?

  • Just £10


4. How do I purchase tickets?


5. What happens if you sell out?

  • Tickets will be sold on a first come first served basis, book them as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. 


6. Is there food?

  • There is no food during the event, make sure you eat before coming. 

7. Is there a car parking?

  • There is a car park inside the Prison which is £5.

8. Is there a group discount?

  • We don’t offer group discounts for this event date, please contact the admin team for private events on info@imevents.global

9. Is there a minimum age?

  • Yes, the minimum age is 12 years old but you must be accompanied by a responsible adult who is a full paying ticket holder if you are 12-16 years old. We will be checking ID’s and bags when coming through the Prison gates. 

10. Where is the event?

  • The Street will be held at Shepton Mallet Prison, Frithfield Lane, Shepton Mallet BA4 5LU


11. What time do I need to arrive?

  • Doors open at 7pm, please arrive on time for your allotted time slot.


12. What time does the event start?

  • The Prison gates, Maze and Prison bar will be open from 7pm.


13. How long is the event?

  • We are open for 4 hours, you are more than welcome to just come to the event for the free entry bar.


14. Can I leave partway through?

  • Of course, the gates will be open throughout the event and will be clearly sign posted.


15. Can I smoke during the event?

  • There is a designated smoking area within the Prison which will be sign posted. You can only smoke in this area.


16. Will the actors touch me?

  • The actors may touch you during the event, however you are NOT permitted to touch them. If you do you risk being removed from the event. 


17. Is there a bar?

  • Yes, our onsite bar will be open. You can enter this for free. 

18. Can I take photos?

  • No photography is allowed during the mazes; however, you can take pictures while queuing or in our bar. Make sure you tag @immersiveevents in your post and #thestreet 

19. Can I wear a Halloween costume?

  • We would love you to, make sure you take photos! 

20. I’m in a wheelchair can I still take part?

  • I’m afraid you won’t be able to take part in the event. The site is not DDA compliant and we don’t have a working stair lift or disabled lift on the site.

21. Is the event safe?

  • Yes, we have a large number of staff on site all fully trained in health & safety of both the event and site.

22. Will I be able to go into a Cell?

  • The main wings will not be open during this event. 


23. What is the safe word?

  • If you are unsettled and would like to leave the maze please shout the word ‘OXO’ and our actors will escort you out. 

24. What if I say the safe word as a joke?

  • The safe word is there for emergencies only, if you use it at any point during the event our staff will take it seriously and remove you to ensure everything is ok. It’s like saying Bomb on a plane (don’t joke about it).


25. Are there rules for the event?

  • Yes, there are a number of rules:

    • You must not touch any of our actors, even if they touch you

    • No alcohol or food is allowed to be brought in the Prison, they will be taken off you and disposed of by our security team. 

    • No smoking unless in the designated area.

    • No violent or inappropriate behaviour.


26. What if I feel sick during the event?

  • Let a member of staff know who will be able to assist you.


27. Are there toilets?

  • Yes, there are toilets in the site, they will be clearly signed.
